I love my new camara!!!

My new camara is also able to make video's which is great because Lauren is talking so much now and getting it on tape is hysterical!! So, on Christmas I was able to shoot her singing a Christmas carol.....this will certainly be cherished for years to come!! (Remember to pause the music on the right hand side....you wouldn't want to miss Lauren's fabulous singing!!) Enjoy....

Christmas

Lauren had a great christmas. We swore we would keep it small this year but somehow she made out pretty well. She loved opening all of her presents and was especially excited about her new babies....and surprisingly her new toothbrush! Santa brought me a new camara and I've been testing it out ever since. Here are a few pics from the new camara.

Potty Training

Well, I finally decided to start potty training. Not something I was really looking forward to, but one of those necessary tasks of a mommy. Lauren had given me all the signs that she was ready and loved using her potty. So here we go......... Here is a glimpse of our first morning of potty training. One week later she has been accident free at home for a couple days. She still wears her pull-ups when we leave the house and when she's sleeping. But we are getting there!!!

Thanksgiving

What better way to test out my new kitchen then by cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I was a little nervous how I would get it done with a 2 year old attached to my hip, but I wanted to give it a try. My little helper had to have her hands in everything. Surprisingly she was a big help and didn't destroy the kitchen. She helped me 'paint' the turkey with melted butter and kept a close eye on 'Tommy' with the oven light on. All of that cooking wore her out and she slept right through dinner. Which was great for me.....the most relaxing Thanksgiving dinner I've had in 2 years! Here are a few pics her helping me.

Halloween

A month or so before Halloween I asked Lauren what she wanted to be. I wasn't really expecting an answer but she quickly said 'a horsey'! So, that was my mission. She wasn't exactly a horse, more a cowgirl riding a horse. At times it took some coaxing and downright bribery to get her in her costume, but it was worth it! She didn't quite get the whole concept but we went to a few houses anyway. She had more fun handing out the candy to all of the other kids. Here are a few pictures of her in her costume with her friends Nemo and Curious George!

Lauren's 2 year video

I finally finished Lauren's 2 year video. I have done a few of these now, one for each birthday and one for each Father's day. The song I chose is Don't Blink, which talks about how life goes by so fast. Every word of this song is so true and it makes me appreciate the time I have with her. Although some days my patience is pushed to the limits, every day is a gift and watching this video is a great reminder of that.

Happy Birthday Lauren!!!!

For Lauren's 2nd birthday she had a few friends over on her birthday to celebrate. She loved the strawberry cupcakes that I made for her. Her big present was a kitchen!! She was so surprised when she saw it.
